Why I built this
I just wanted to watch a movie with my family.
My wife speaks Korean. I speak English. We'd sit down to watch an anime together and settle on Korean subtitles — which I'm not the greatest at reading. I'd end up reading the manga in English later just to understand what happened.
Same thing with our kids. We'd watch something in Korean and sometimes there's no English subtitle available. Everyone's laughing and I'm just sitting there, disconnected from the moment.
I didn't want to "catch up later." I wanted to experience it together — to laugh at the same jokes, feel the same tension, share the same scene.
Streaming services only let you pick one subtitle language at a time. For bilingual households, that means someone always compromises. EnjoySubs fixes that.
It displays two subtitle tracks simultaneously on Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and Coupang Play — using each platform's own professionally translated subtitles. No AI translation, no external files, no sync issues. Just two languages, shown at the same time.
I built this for my family. Then I realized we aren't the only ones.
